About the Summit

CARISCA's annual Supply Chain Research Summit is central to our goal of strengthening African supply chain capacity and advancing Africa's supply chain research globally.

The fifth annual Supply Chain Research Summit will be held July 16-18, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria. This premier event brings together academic researchers, industry professionals, and public and private sector organizations to create meaningful dialogue addressing complex supply chain challenges.

Registration Details

For the past four years, CARISCA's summit has been at no cost to participants. This year, to help sustain and enhance the quality of the summit experience, we kindly ask participants to contribute a token towards the summit cost by paying a small participation fee as outlined below:

$50 (Online Payment) and $75 (On-site payment) for In-person participants from Africa.
$150 (Online Payment) and $200 (On-site payment) for In-person participants from outside Africa.
$25 – Virtual participants

Introducing the Best Paper Award at the 2025 Summit

We are pleased to announce the introduction of the Best Paper Award at this year’s CARISCA Supply Chain Research Summit.

This new award is designed to spotlight exceptional scholarship and celebrate research that makes a significant contribution to advancing supply chain knowledge and practice, particularly within the African context. The award will be presented to the most outstanding paper featured at the summit, recognizing originality, relevance, and the potential to drive meaningful impact.

The winner of the Best Paper Award will be unveiled during the Summit’s closing session. We look forward to celebrating the innovative work being done by our community of researchers, and we are excited to see which paper will take home this inaugural honor.

About CARISCA

The Centre for Applied Research and Innovation in Supply Chain – Africa (CARISCA) was established as a partnership between Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Arizona State University (ASU).

The Centre's key objective is to support higher education institutions in building the capacity necessary to provide best-in-class research, degree programs and training; facilitate research translation and utilization; and engage stakeholders in best practices and policy changes that strengthen supply chains.
